JP King Auction Company Sells Two Dallas Mansions for $1 Million

DALLAS — Ralph Wade built his personal utopia in the back yard of his Dallas, Texas estate, with two grand homes spread across 14 acres. At a real estate auction on June 12, Wade sold his two estates at an absolute auction for $1.2 million. The homes, a 7,000 square-foot residence known as Uncommon Ground and its neighboring property, Ranchero Estate , were purchased by Alex Harris of Sherman Oaks, Calif., at an auction even conducted by J. P. King Auction Company.

“It’s a beautiful property, and when I found out it was available at an absolute auction, I started lining up everything to try to purchase them today,” said Harris, who bid over the phone. “I’ve bought properties from J. P. King before, and it was a great experience.”

The auction brought eight registered bidders all from Texas, with the exception of Harris.

Uncommon Ground is a three-story home that features a large master suite, mother-in-law suite and a guest bedroom. Ideally suited for entertaining, the home has views of its gorgeous surrounding landscape, which includes a wooden deck that overlooks the creek.

Uncommon Ground is a neighboring property to Ranchero Estate , which is a spacious two-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom home and includes floor-to-ceiling windows, a fireplace and three outbuildings on three acres.

Other sheds, caretaker homes and trails are spread throughout the property that Wade has developed and perfected over the past 30 years.
