AUCTION REGISTRATION and SALE SITE
A cashier's check in the amount of $50,000 made payable to the bidder will be required to register to bid on either of the properties. Registration begins at 12:00 P.M. (ET) The sale begins at 2:00 P.M. (ET) The auction will take place at the home located at 3 Halandy Lane, Daufuskie Island, SC 29915. There will be a private ferry available on sale day to take auction attendees to Haig Point at Daufuskie Island. This ferry will be departing from the Embarkation Center, 10 Haig Point Circle, Hilton Head, South Carolina 29938.
BUYER BROKER PARTICIPATION
Up to a 3% commission will be paid to any properly licensed buyer’s Broker who registers a successful buyer according to the Broker Participation Guidelines. Broker registration forms are available from the Auction Information Center. Forms must be completed and returned no later than 48 hours prior to the auction.
PROPERTY TOUR
An auction representative will be available onsite, on Monday, October 13th through auction day, from 10:00A.M. to 5:00 P.M. You may contact the J.P. King Auction representative directly at 256.438.3419 during these designated dates.
BUYER'S PREMIUM
A ten-percent (10%) Buyer's Premium will be added to the winning bid price to arrive at the total contract price paid by the purchaser.
TERMS
A ten-percent (10%) down payment will be due immediately after being declared the buyer. The balance is due in cash at closing within 30 days.
DIRECTIONS TO PROPERTY
Access to Daufuskie Island is available via private ferry.
From Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport: travel north on I-95 for 16.5 miles to exit #8. Merge onto US-278 East and travel approximately 30 miles to the Hilton Head Island Bridge. Once on Hilton Head Island continue on US-278 E and stay to your left to take the Cross Island Parkway, which is a $1 toll. After the tollbooth you will be on Palmetto Bay Road. Stay to your left and make the first left at the light (Arrow Road), make an immediate left on Helmsman Way. You will see the sign for the Haig Point Embarkation / Welcome Center. Travel 0.3 miles and take the next right following the Haig Point sign. Go around Haig Point Circle and follow the sign to park in the Member / Guest lot located on the left.
