8,500-acre Gunnison ranch sells at auction

GUNNISON, COLO. (Nov. 20, 2006) – The 8,500-acre Double Heart and White Pine ranches in Gunnison sold at auction for $9.35 million Saturday, Nov. 18, with J.P. King Auction Company managing the sale.

The auction attracted 82 registered bidders from 10 states, including Colorado, Louisiana, Virginia, Texas, Florida, Tennessee, Michigan, Alabama and Wyoming. In all, a crowd of approximately 200 gathered at the Aspinall-Wilson Center at Western State College of Colorado.
