DeVita Ranch to Sell at Auction January 31st

VENICE, FLA. — Sitting on 100 acres in Venice, Fla., Dr. Richard DeVita has built a European-inspired estate for his family, which he will sell at auction on January 31. The five-bedroom home is part of DeVita Ranch , also known as Villa DeVita, or “House of Life,” J. P. King Auction Company will conduct the auction event.

Secured by a private, gated entryway and a Spanish Oak-lined drive, DeVita Ranch encompasses what Dr. DeVita’s family enjoyed as his three children grew up. From the outdoor kitchen and covered dining area — which overlooks the hot tub fountain that flows into the heated and lighted swimming pool — to the tennis courts and the playground, Villa DeVita is a place the DeVita family has cherished.

“My late wife and I designed it,” Dr. DeVita said. “It’s a family home more than anything else. For our family, we never sent our kids to summer camp because we had everything they needed here. It’s in a great location, near the airport and Venice beach, and it’s close to downtown.”

Inside the home, the DeVitas overlooked nothing, as they installed stone and marble flooring, Mahogany woodwork, a home theater with concession bar, a gym, a steam shower and a billiards room with a bar.

The great room is the center focus of the home with 35-foot Cathedral ceilings and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace. The open layout gives way to a gourmet kitchen with Viking appliances, walk-in refrigerator and a brick pizza oven. The master suite includes his and hers bathrooms, a private balcony, Jacuzzi tub, multiple jet shower and a dressing area that leads to a widow’s peak.

With additional improvements that feature an eight-car garage and a 12-bay equipment garage, the home also features equestrian facilities that include a fully equipped, 22-stall stable with two stable apartments, a 5/8 mile horse track and a training facility that includes an observation room, offices, dressing area and staff kitchen.

“This is a stunning property that has been a great family home for the DeVitas,” said Craig King, president and CEO of J. P. King Auction Company. “This auction presents an opportunity to buy a dream home at a great price.”

The auction will take place on Thursday, January 31 at the home, which is located at 600 N Jackson Road in Venice. For additional information, individuals may contact J. P. King at 800.558.5464 or visit the company’s website at .
