Final Inventory of Tagalong Condos Sells for $2.4 Million
BIRCHWOOD — At a real estate auction on Saturday, J. P. King Auction Company conducted a complete sell out of the Tagalong Condos in Birchwood, Wisc., for $2.4 million. The auction, which took place at the Tagalong Golf and Resort, brought 64 registered bidders from eight states, who enjoyed live entertainment and hors d’oeuvres, along with almost 90 minutes of competitive bidding.
The 16 units sold on Saturday add to the 70 condos J. P. King has already sold in Wisconsin in the past 24 months. Leading up to the auction, over 400 property tours were given of the units to interested parties, arriving from 34 states and Canada. “This was a great auction as a result of an effective marketing campaign,” said Craig King, president and CEO of J. P. King Auction Company. “We had competitive bidding and a happy seller for these beautiful units, so we’re pleased with the market and the turnout today. With a full community now, I know Tagalong will continue to be a strong development.” The Tagalong Condominiums were sent to auction as a final inventory liquidation for the available units in the Tayside and Stonehaven buildings. Each unit featured two
bedrooms and two bathrooms and sold for up to $180,000. Situated either on Red Cedar Lake or on the Tagalong Golf Course with water views, the units also featured high-end amenities such as granite countertops, custom wood cabinetry, designer lighting and fixtures and planked wood floors.
